Louisiana retailers push for ethanol-free gasoline

In Louisiana, on the behest of fuel retailers, Tangipahoa Parish Council is seeking Congressional assistance to secure availability of ethanol-free gasoline after Marathon Oil stopped producing “pure gasoline” on June 21. The Council is asking all other Parishes in the state to follow their lead in pushing Congress to ensure a choice between ethanol-blended and ethanol-free gasoline availability.
