MRE wins $4M judgement over delayed ethanol expansion

In Nebraska, a Lincoln County district judge has awarded Midwest Renewable Energy nearly $4 million as a result of its long-standing lawsuit since 2006 against Avid Solutions of Iowa for failure to deliver various parts for the MRE ethanol plant’s expansion.

Avid’s attorney withdrew from the case more than a year ago and was never replaced, meaning the case was heard in district court without legal representation.
