Biofuels Digest Index soars to 76.72 as Gevo, Solazyme shine

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, soared 3.61 percent to 76.72, as renewables broadly began recovery from last week’s equity meltdown.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 3.70 percent to $28.29, while Gevo (GEVO) roared back 16.43 percent to $12.33.  Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) bounded up 11.68 percent to $17.50. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
