Indonesia, Korean researchers to launch palm waste-to-ethanol pilot in 2012

In Indonesia, researchers at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences and the Korea International Cooperation Agency said that they expect to launch a pilot plant in 2012 that will produce 10 liters of ethanol per day from oil plan residues.

The research team, which began its project in 2007 and expanded last year with a $2.2M grant from KOICA, said that they expect to begin vehicle testing in 2014.
