Biofuels Digest Index skids to 75.43 as Greek debt crisis deepens

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, skidded 4.08 percent to 75.43 as advanced biofuels faltered. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) thudded 4.61 percent to $28.94, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) soared 34.21 percent to $0.51. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) fell 14.30 percent to $7,43 after the United States Patent and Trademark Office has denied its request to reexamine the Butamax Advanced Biofuels patent. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
