Biofuels Digest Index slumps to 71.25 as global equities sink again

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, slumped 1.85 percent to 71.25 as biofuels struggled again sector-wide.  For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) dumped 8.85 percent to $12.46, while Amyris (AMRS) lost 4.15 percent to $3.30. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) shed 10.28 percent to $0.96.  Overall, declines led advances 5 to 1 for the day.
