Biofuels Digest Index slides to 71.01 on broad renewables swoon

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, dropped 1.43 percent to 71.01 as all sectors sagged.  For the day, KiOR (KIOR) fell 4.68 percent to $11.00, while Aventine (AVRW) plummeted 20.63 percent to $2.50. Among other equities, Renewable Energy Group (REGI) fell 5.07 percent to $9.170.  Overall, declines led advances 12 to 1 for the day.
