Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 60.96 as ethanol rebounds

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, rebounded 1.53 percent to 60.96 as ethanol and large caps surged. For the day, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) rocketed up 17.73 percent to $4.25, while Rentech (RTK) jumped 5.76 percent to $2.02. Among other equities, Codexis (CDXS) plunged 9.27 percent to $3.23. Overall, advances led declines 10 to 3 for the day.
