Biomex’s first ethanol plant to start construction before year’s end

In Mexico, construction on Biomex’s first ethanol plant is expected to begin in October or November in Valle Hermosa with production seen for the first half of 2014. The $100 million facility will use 400,000 metric tons of sorghum per year as feedstock. The state where the facility will be located is a leading producer of sorghum with 2 million tons of annual production from 700,000 hectares.
