Thailand’s PTT sees algae competitive in 2017 at $150/barrel

In Thailand, PTT expects algae biodiesel to be commercially viable by 2017 at $150 per barrel where they expect oil prices to be by then, up from the current $110 per barrel. Finding appropriate strains of algae and increased economy-of-scale will be the major drivers for algae biodiesel competitiveness.
