New report predicts green cleaner market growth to slow to less than 20%

October 17, 2012 |

In New York, ReportLinker announced a new research report, “Green Cleaning Products in the U.S.” The report states that consumer interest has driven the U.S. market for green cleaners—including both household and laundry cleaners—to total retail sales of $640 million in 2011, up from $303 million in 2007.

Going forward, Packaged Facts predicts that the uncertainty of the economy, among other factors, will cause green cleaners to grow at a rate lower than the 20% compound annual growth rate of the last five years. Traditional green brands will drive market growth, but there are only a few with enough critical mass to support a substantially larger market.
