Biofuels Digest Index flat at 62.14 despite ethanol recovery

On Friday, the Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, was flat at 62.14 as ethanol recovered. For the day, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) soared 28.19 percent to $7.73, while Verenium (VRNM) shed 8.82 percent to $2.48.  Among other equities, Novozymes (NZMB) tumbled 4.41 percent to 26.89. Overall, advances and declines were even for the day.
