Vega Biofuels to ship torrified pellets to EU power companies

In the EU, Vega Biofuels is set to begin shipping torrified pellets samples to a number of power companies by the end of January, 2013. The EU s currently lacking biomass resources to meet its goal of 20% in carbon dioxide emissions by 2020, claims Vega. The torrefaction process used by Vega biofuels enhances the calorific value of biomass, can be used in coal-fired power plants, and will help the EU to meet their targets.
