Philippines petroleum institute wants coconut oil co-fired in power plants

In the Philippines, the Asian Institute of Petroleum Studies is pushing for both bunker-fired and diesel-fired power plants to introduce coconut oil into their fuel streams to help reduce imports leading to economic efficiencies while reducing carbon emissions.
