RFA asks EPA to revise down cellulosic and advanced biofuel mandates for 2013

In Washington, the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) has submitted comments in response to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) notice of proposed rulemaking regarding 2013 Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) required volumes which includes a request that the cellulosic mandate be revised to reflect current expected production volumes. It has also requested that the advanced biofuel volume be lowered to reflect lower availability of sugarcane ethanol imports from Brazil.
