PAU signs MOU with International Panaacea for bio-pesticide

In India, Punjab Agricultural University reports that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with International Panaacea Ltd for the licensing of Trichoderma harzianum for use as a bio-pesticide. PAU developed the strain to deal with Foot Rot disease that strikes basmati rice. IPL will have to get the bio-pesticide registered with the Central Insecticide Board before it can start production.
