PGP seeks permission for additional storage capacity at Clearfield ethanol plant

July 15, 2013 |

In Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Grain Processing is seeking permission from the Clearfield Planning Commission to build four new grain silos of galvanized steel, relocate a road and extend part of one of the buildings for better access for the trucks as part of the company’s upgrades to the ethanol plant it bought recently. The expansion would give 2 billion bushels of additional grain storage, boosting it to 30 days worth from the current 10 days worth of storage to put it in line with other facilities across the country. PGP hopes to begin construction this year and finish up next year.
