August 26, 2013 |

In Minnesota, an appeal trying to overturn a decision denying a citizen’s petition to stop construction of the Hometown Bioenergy project in Le Sueur has been denied. Construction on the plant started in November and is expected to come online by the end of the year. The plant will use food processing waste, potato waste and manure to produce electricity, fertilizer and biomass pellets for power production.
