In Iowa, E30 biodiesel pumps may spring up across the state in the spring. The state will use $250,000 worth of federal money to expand the blend profile, which will be used to reimburse fuel station owners for up to 5% of the cost of updating their equipment. The E-30 blend “is kind of the sweet spot” for biodiesel announced Gov. Terry Branstad. “This pilot program will provide Iowans with additional access to higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel, which will help our farmers, communities and economy in producing, processing and profiting locally,” Branstad said.
