Biofuels Digest Index falls to 62.71 as an EPA renewable fuel plan weighs on equities

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, shed 1.10 percent to 62.71 as an EPA proposal on renewable fuel volumes continued to hammer equities. For the day, Renewable Energy Group (REGI) shed 3.59 percent to $11.01, while Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) fell 4.07 percent to $14.15. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) dropped 3.44 percent to $2.53. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
