Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 66.30 as chemicals rally

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 1.05 percent to 66.30 as chemicals rallied.  For the day, Metabolix (MBLX) soared 31.76 percent to $1.12, while Solazyme (SZYM) jumped 6.92 percent to $8.96. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) escalated 3.35 percent to $2.78. Overall, advances led declines 7 to 6 for the day.
