Illegal ethanol imports continue to pour into Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, illegal ethanol imports continue with the latest shipment of 16,000 liters marked as tip board confiscated by customs officers. They were tipped off by a scan that showed barrels rather than planks. As marked, the import tax was $1,528 but ethanol should have paid $68,794 in taxes. The ethanol originated in Malaysia.
