Mexican biofuel company says formula 40% cheaper than competition

January 1, 2014 |

In Mexico, Der Tek has developed a biodiesel that it says is 40% cheaper to produce than standard biodiesel and is better for the motor than other biodiesels by cleaning the engine thanks to better lubrication. The fuel, called biodinox, also stores much longer—at least a year— and better than biodiesel because of its oxygenation properties. The company uses jatropha and castor as feedstock.
