In Kansas, the Pratt County Commissioners has offered Pratt Ethanol a tax abatement plan on the $9 million it plans to invest in upgrades to the facility, but not on the cost of purchasing the plant itself. The county commissioners have offered 100 percent for years 1-3; 75 percent for years 4-6; 50 percent for years 7-10 in addition to payments of $20,000 annually for the first five years and $10,000 annually for the last five years instead of taxes.
