Vierol running into challenges in getting grant to restart Osage Bio-Energy

In Virginia, Vireol is seeking a $250,000 Agricultural and Forestry Industrial Development grant to help with re-starting the former Osage Bio-Energy Plant but it must be matched by funds from the City of Hopewell. The City Council was not able to approve the grant at a recent meeting due to procedural challenges, but it may be brought up again at another time. The facility needs investment of $41.8 million over the next five years.
