Biofuels Digest Index rises to 72.65 despite ethanol plunge

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.14 percent to 72.65 despite an ethanol plunge. For the day, BioFuel Energy (BIOF) dropped 6.45 percent to $5.37, while Solazyme (SZYM) gained 3.70 percent to $9.52. Among other equities, Ceres (CERE) surged 7.22 percent to $0.62. Overall, declines led advances 9 to 7 for the day.
