Biofuels Digest Index falls to 8-month low of 70.97 as advanced bio, ethanol nosedive

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dumped 1.31 percent to an 8-month low of 70.97 as advanced biofuels and ethanol equities continued to nosedive. For the day, Gevo (GEVO) lost 5.25 percent to $0.31, while Green Plains (GPRE) dropped 5.81 percent to $33.25. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) shed 6.31 percent to $12.62. Overall, declines led advances 13 to 4 for the day.
