More corn farmers line up to sue Syngenta over China’s DDGS ban

October 30, 2014 |

In Illinois, more corn farmers have sued Syngenta over their GMO corn that is banned in China, the main import market for DDGS. The case filed in federal court in Chicago follows on the heels of another case where Cargill filed a $90 million claim against the company in Louisiana. A federal court in Charleston, South Carolina will decide if cases from the farmers in Illinois and other farmers who have filed cases should be consolidated on Dec. 4.
