K-State putting focus on sustainability though biodiesel initiatives

In Kansas, K-State is using biodiesel as a tool to teach students about sustainability via its used oil collection program that then powers on campus vehicles. The university’s Biodiesel Initiative and student-run Biodiesel Club bring together students from a wide range of majors along with staff to not only produce biodiesel but also run engine performance tests and do hands-on research.
