Crush margins weaken further as ethanol prices slip again in November

December 1, 2014 |

In the Netherlands, European ethanol prices began falling again in November, having slipped back into contango for the first time since Aug. 1. Lower prices fell in line with lower crushing margins, with wheat producers the worse off at more than negative 50 euros per cubic meter. Crush margins for corn-based ethanol are also lower, but are not into negative figures with about EUR36 per cubic meter.
