Ethanol production dipped 30,000 b/d at the end of January

In the US, for the week before last, ethanol production averaged 948,000 barrels per day (b/d)β€”or 39.82 million gallons daily. That is down 30,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 971,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.86 billion gallons. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 354.6 million gallons daily.; expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, ethanol production was 11.23%.

Stocks of ethanol stood at 21.0 million barrels. That is a 1.7% increase from last week. Imports of ethanol remained non-existent for the fifth straight week.
