Tell us about your company and it’s role in the Advanced Bioeconomy.

Econergy Corp is a producer of Biodiesel and we supply it to different fuel companies here in the Philippines in support to the government’s goal to lower the carbon emission. hence, help clean the air.

Tell us about your role and what you are focused on in the next 12 months.

It is our goal to become one of the leading biofuel producer in the country. Selling them not only in the locality but to foreign as well.

What do you feel are the most important milestones the industry must achieve in the next 5 years?  

to have a sustainable and profitable operation in producing biodiesel

If you could snap your fingers and change one thing about the Advanced Bioeconomy, what would you change? 

Reluctance of financing institutions, like banks, to support this project. The lack of governments effort to push banks to support the start up biofuel projectsprofitability

Of all the reasons that influenced you to join the Advanced Bioeconomy industry, what single reason stands out for you as still being compelling and important to you?

I was born in Lebak Sultan Kudarat, Philippines

What was your undergraduate major in college, and where did you attend? Why did you choose that school and that pathway?

Industrial engineering, University of southern Mindanao, Kabacan North cotabato, Philippines. It was in line with my interest in mechanical technology

Who do you consider your mentors – could be personal, business, or just people you have read about and admire. What have you learned from them?

Mr Domingo Teng , President of TSP Marine Industry, as my former boss, i have a lot from him

What’s the biggest lesson you ever learned during a period of adversity?  

not to thrust on unverified technology

What hobbies do you pursue, away from your work in the industry?  

evangelizing, travel
