EIA expects daily average ethanol production to reach 944,000 barrels in 2015

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency’s April Short-Term Energy Outlook estimates an average of 944,000 barrels of ethanol production per day throughout 2015, up from 935,000 barrels per day in 2014 but down slightly from its March estimate of 947,000 barrels per day. Production topped 1 million barrels per day for the first time in December. Despite the rosy outlook for 2015, 2016 production is expected to slip to an average of 937,000 barrels per day.
