Rapeseed futures recover after 6% slide while biodiesel producers stay away

In France, rapeseed futures have bounced back to healthier levels following a shocking drop in prices heading into the expiry of the May contract last week. Weaker prices triggered sell stops that cut the value of futures by nearly 6% as traders looked to trade physical delivery for paper. Prices have since recovered to levels higher than what were lost, but demand for biodiesel producers remains thin as crush margins remain loss-making for the new crop.
