Maha mills not able to provide latest ethanol request as cane crush nears end

In India, the sugarcane crush is coming to an end in Maharashtra this month, putting mills in a difficult position now that oil marketing companies are looking to source 210 million liters of ethanol from mills in the state. More than 140 mills have already stopped crushing while just over a dozen are still operating through the end of the month. The state has already supplied 230 million liters this year.
