Biofuels Digest Index gains to 68.32 on an advanced biofuels surge

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 0.49 percent to 68.32 as advanced biofuels surged. For the day, Gevo (GEVO) soared 26.77 percent to $3.93 on a late-day rally, on more than triple its average trading volume, while Biox (BX.T) advanced 3.53 percent to $0.88. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) rallied 5.53 percent to $2.10. Overall, declines led advances by a 9 to 7 ratio for the day.
