South Korean refiner to invest $44 million in biobutanol plant

In South Korea, the country’s second-largest refiner GS Caltex will invest $44 million in a biobutanol plant with construction set to begin later this year. The feedstock was not identified. Expectation is that the facility could also serve as an incubator for other bio-based start ups.
