Ethanol production scales back from last week’s highs

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency says that ethanol production last week has fallen back from its record-breaking production levels the week before at 980,000 b/d, down by some 20,000 b/d. Ethanol stocks have soared to a six-week high of 20.718 million barrels, up by 472,000 barrels on the week. Gulf Coast stocks continue to jump high as imports land, while West Coast stocks were also marginally higher. The rest of the country saw stocks fall.
