Taipei sees UCO biodiesel has good business and good for energy mix

In Taipei, the country’s Environmental Protection Agency is highlighting biodiesel produced from waste cooking oil, an industry it says generates domestic sales of $96.3 million annually. So far this year about 26,000 metric tons of waste cooking oil has been collected with about 10,000 tons exported predominantly to South Korea. About 6,000 tons of biodiesel have been exported to the UK and Malaysia during the same period.
