Philippines could see $770 million in biofuels investment in 2016

August 11, 2015 |

In the Philippines, investments in biofuels are meant to double to $770 million in 2016 from $386 million in 2015 and from $206 million in 2012. The 10% ethanol mandate led to displacement of about $75 million worth of fossil fuels in 2014. The implementation of the E5 and later E10 blending mandates has encouraged investment in biofuels up and down the entire supply chain from large-scale industry to small-scale support services.
