Hippo Valley applying to supply ethanol to Zimbabwe’s domestic market

In Zimbabwe, Hippo Valley has applied for a license to supply the domestic fuel market. The facility produces 41 million liters per month of ethanol from sugarcane molasses and currently supplies hydrous ethanol to specialty markets in the country. The E15 blend requires 7.5 million liters of ethanol monthly and has so far been supplied by Green Fuel exclusively, but floods led to a lower cane harvest that negatively impacted production. As such the blend is as low as 5% to accommodate the lack of supplies.
