Brazilian ethanol sales up 31% in August on year with hydrous still the preferred fuel

In Brazil, UNICA says September ethanol sales were up more than 31% at 2.70 billion liters, dominated by 1.59 billion liters of hydrous that saw a 42% jump in consumption over September 2014. The remaining anhydrous ethanol consumption was only negligibly higher than during the same period last year. Total ethanol sales since the start of the crush in April reached 15.03 billion liters through September. Anhydrous sales continue to the lead, accounting for 9.62 billion liters of the total.
