API investing significantly to double biodiesel production capacity at Iowa plant

In Iowa, Ag Processing Inc. is investing “significantly” to double the production capacity at its 30 million gallon per year soybean-based biodiesel facility in Sergeant Bluff that opened in 1997. As part of the expansion to the integrated soybean processing facility, soybean oil refining capacity will also be added. The overall expansion project is expected to generate about 50 new full-time jobs and boost local soybean prices for farmers. The facility was the first of its kind in the country when it opened.
