December 21, 2015 |

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol sales soared to 10.2 billion liters through November, up 43.2% on the year, thanks to the change in gasoline and diesel prices that have boosted demand for ethanol. November ethanol consumption represented 60% of the market at 852.8 million liters, up 16.5% on the month, despite having crossed the 70% price parity ratio to gasoline at an average of 71%. Ethanol prices at the mill gate in the main cane growing region have risen 20% since the policy shift in September that led to the huge increase in demand.
