Poet thinks Project Liberty could be at full production capacity by year’s end

March 23, 2016 |

In Iowa, Poet says its Project Liberty cellulosic ethanol plant could be operating at full production capacity by the end of the year. The facility has already shipped tanker-loads of the fuel but the company declined to say exactly how much was sent out. The facility’s main challenge is dealing with large quantities of corn stover, management of which has had to evolve to become more efficient and that has led to requiring installation of different equipment than originally installed.
