Bangchak to invest up to $28 million for ethanol plant

In Thailand, Bangchak will pay up to $28 million for an ethanol plant with up to 300,000 liters per day production capacity in order to help supply national blending policies. Currently the company has 700,000 liters per day of blending demand while that is expected to rise to 1 million liters per day by 2020. The company has outlined an extensive list of investment priorities including the ethanol plant, co-investing in solar and wind and even potentially exploring for oil.
