New Energy Investors applies again for $125,000 grant to develop cellulosic plant

In North Dakota, New Energy Investors has applied again for a $125,000 grant from the North Dakota Agricultural Products Utilization Committee for development work towards the proposed $150 million cellulosic ethanol plant in the Spiritwood Industrial Park near Jamestown that would use Inbicon’s proprietary technology to produce fuel from wheat straw and corn stover. The grant is to be reviewed on July 18 after a $225,000 grant application was rejected in May. Groundbreaking could begin as soon as June 2017.
