T2 ethanol prices jump on rumors that Alcodis ethanol plant may be shut for maintenance

October 10, 2016 |

In the Netherlands, unconfirmed rumors that the Rotterdam-based 480,000 cu m per year Alcodis ethanol plant may be down for maintenance has helped to push up the T2 ethanol price to EUR470 per cubic meter, up EUR8.5 since Friday. The company has been in the market looking for product, leading to speculation that its own supplies have been interrupted due to maintenance and/or upgrades to the facility’s production process. In addition to ethanol, it also produces 360,000 tons of DDGS per year.
