Brazilian hydrous ethanol sales slip nearly 16% during H1 October

November 3, 2016 |

In Brazil, sales of hydrous ethanol in the Center-South region slipped during the first half of October to 592 million liters, a drop of nearly 16% from the previous two-week period. Higher prices may have bit into demand as well as few exports to the North-Northeast region of the country. There were fewer working days during the period as well that could help cut into demand figures. In total, about 1.4 billion liters were produced during the first half of October with 740 million liters of hydrous and the remainder anhydrous ethanol.
