Sunoco may look to offload St. Clair, Ont. ethanol plant

In Canada, Sunoco has been selling off assets of late to help provide increased shareholder distributions, including its lubrications business and some wind power assets, and now its ethanol plant in St. Clair, Ont. in the not-to-distant future could be on the chopping block. The company had $14.5 billion of net debt in the second quarter of this year so in an effort to tightening up its balance sheet it is looking at selling off non-core assets.
